Worthing Astronomical Society was founded in 1965 and is affiliated to the Federation of Astronomical Societies.
- Promote interest in all aspects of astronomy
- Encourage observational work
- Organise regular meetings with invited guest speakers and reports of members’ practical work
- Provide equipment for members to develop their interest in astronomy
- Provide a focal point for astronomical activity in Worthing and the surrounding area
- Provide a channel of communication with other local, regional and national astronomical societies
- We have our own Observatory and hold regular observing evenings and star parties. We would love to see you there, please see the Observatory and Star Parties pages on our website for details.
- New members are always welcome to our monthly meetings.
- Join us at 1930-2200hrs on the 3rd Monday of each month (except August) in the Emmanuel Church Hall
