Tarring Art Circle

Tarring Art Circle was formed in the early 1960′s in Tarring Village and had patronage from Adrian Hill, BBC TV’s first Television Painter who appeared on Sketch Club for Children’s Hour in the 1950′s.

The club met for many years in Tarring but now meets every Tuesday in the Emmanuel Church Hall The society has a membership of 41 Leisure Painters and it’s friendly weekly painting meetings have a varied programme that includes a Monthly project, Demonstrations by well known tutors & artists, painting days and evenings (outside in Summer) and Social events. These include
periodic trips to noteworthy exhibitions during the year.

The Main Event is the Club’s Annual Exhibition held at Whitsun where everyone can exhibit work done during the year.
