This group meets twice a month on a Wednesday morning for an hour, from 10.30 a.m. – 11.30 a.m. Tea and coffee are available from around 10.15 a.m. The meetings are usually led by our Minister, Revd. David Littlejohns.
We aim to look at the passage we are going to study before the meeting. There we read it together and then the leader starts off the discussion, filling in bits of background information as things come up and introducing views from modern commentaries, all of which helps to broaden our understanding.
Of course you can read and study the Bible on your own. Group study is not a substitute but has its own benefits – in fellowship, in sharing questions and insights and in having a leader, who can not only answer some of our questions but also keeps the discussion on track!
It is interesting, enjoyable and, hopefully, a positive help in our faith journey.
