Earlier this year we were delighted to appoint our new music leader, Gavin Stevens.

Currently we have a formal choir who rehearse on Friday evenings and sing at Sunday and other services.

We also have a small instrumental group, which we are hoping to expand in the New Year 2012.  This will entail developing skills in ensemble playing for anyone who can play an instrument.  It is hoped that this community based music group will then be able to accompany services.

The Church/Auditorium can seat 220-250 people and has a full range of sound and visual equipment, stage lighting and two screens.  There is a small kitchen at the rear of the church with a water heater and fridge, from which can be served drinks and cold food through the large hatchway.

As well as our magnificent church/auditorium which is used for many concerts and performances, we also have the Chanctonbury Hall which has space  for 120 (seated in rows) or a slightly smaller number round tables.  This is ideal for childrens’ or adults parties, wedding receptions, lectures, demonstrations and meetings of all kinds.  A projector and screen are also available as well as piano or keyboard.

Adjacent to the Chanctonbury Hall is our fully fitted kitchen with hatches out to the hall or the Welcome Lounge.  There is a 6 hob double cooker, microwave, water heater, dishwasher and everything you need to cook a hot meal or serve drinks.

The Highdown Room offers a modern facility which seats up to 30 (seated in rows) or 20 (round tables).  This well lit room is ideal for smaller meetings.  A projector and screen are available.

Our Welcome Lounge has small tables and comfortable chairs to sit and chat over a drink.
