It is also possible to use features within browsing software to alter the way a website appears. If you are having difficulty using the site then the following may be of help:
Text resizing
To improve the readability of the site, you can resize the text in a number of browsers by following the instructions below.
PC/Internet Explorer 7
From the View menu, select Text size, and a size for the text
PC/Firefox and other browsers
Increase text size: Hold down the CTRL key and press +
Decrease text size: Hold down the CTRL key and press -
Mac/other browsers
Increase text size: Hold down the Command key and press +
Decrease text size: Hold down the Command key and press -
Other text and colour changes
Some browsers allow you to change the font and background colours you use. These settings are found in the ‘Options’ or ‘Preferences’ menus.
Use a ‘plain’ layout
Many browsers allow you to remove the layout and styling of a web page by turning off the website ‘style sheets’. If your browser supports this feature, it will probably be found in the ‘View’ menu.
